Supply Chain Best Practices Workshop

In this focused event, business owners and managers will explore a proven approach — incorporating management, strategy, marketing and decision sciences — to designing and managing your supply chain pain points.

Business leaders will develop new practical insights for integrating your supply chain into a coordinated system and how to identify risks and design cost reduction strategies. You’ll leave exposed to new knowledge and tools for integrating strategy, planning, and operations to increase service levels and grow your Vancouver Island based business.

Senior APICS members and experts will guide the workshop. You and your fellow business leaders will explore state-of-the-art models and solutions to the real-world challenges of supply chain management, logistics, inventories, transportation, information, and more.

ABOUT APICS

PRESENTERS AND PANELISTS
Roberta McPhail is a qualified APICS master instructor specializing in supply chain project management. In her 25+ year career, she has extensive functional experience at all levels of business including distribution, manufacturing, logistics, operations, scheduling, forecasting, demand management, and plan. She is a technical expert in planning system and Demand Driven MRP.

Ron Taggart is a subject matter expert on supply chain and resource management. A seasoned business professional with over 20 years of diverse consulting, training, project management, and leadership roles. Areas of expertise include ERP solutions, supply chain management, shop floor operations in manufacturing and distribution environments with solid conflict resolution skills and demonstrated abilities in mentoring, team motivation, budget preparation, and P&L analysis. He holds APICS certification in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution.

Curtis McCormac is an APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) located here in Victoria, BC. He has spent his last five years working in the aerospace manufacturing industry across Canada and the US. His supply chain experience includes purchasing, logistics, production planning and has held roles of Purchasing Agent, Production Planner and is currently a Program Manager for Viking Air Limited. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science, International Business & Operations and Supply Chain Management from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.

Darryl Anderson is a transportation and logistics executive skilled in in building teams to overcome the obstacles of moving goods and people to market. Darryl has worked with international trade, supply chain participants, transport service providers and shippers for 28 years Quoted in leading international publications Bloomberg News, The Journal of Commerce, IHSMarkit/Fairplay and the Financial Times. Darryl has served clients from, or with projects interests in, North America, Australia/New Zealand, Northern Europe, The Gulf Cooperation Council Region, South Africa and South America. He was awarded an MBA from the Australian College, BA from Trinity Western University and a certificate in shipping and marine operations from BCIT.

Stephen Ison is a Principal of Victoria based Liquid Capital West Coast Financing Corp a commercial finance/trade finance company. Experience includes working with business owners to implement a variety of supply chain financing solutions that helps businesses grow and succeed. Stephen was previously a general partner at a multi-national investment firm with experience developing advanced training and leadership development programs as well as leading the growth and health of the business in Western Canada.
